Over the last 12 months Spymonkey’s team have continued to support the creative and business development of theatre-makers. We might all be Zoomed out now but it’s been a privilege to have run 22 webinars, for 355 individuals and offered session fees for the whole programme on a sliding scale to ensure freelancers’ affordability. 

We gave 57 free places to Black diaspora artists, South, East and South East Asian artists and those from other ethically diverse backgrounds as well as artists with disabilities and those particularly feeling the pinch of the pandemic. People joined us from 10 countries including Australia, USA and Singapore. 

We also ran 3 Garages filled with broken stupid ideas – these online mentoring sessions took a look under the bonnet of new sketch ideas and led to 2 packed online performances.

We’re going to take a bit of a break from Zoom training now but we’ve got a whole host of artistic and business sessions up our sleeves so do get in touch if you’re an artist looking for some mentoring on an upcoming project, or an organisation wanting to host a training workshops for your community of artists.
