Business workshop and project ideas MOT for theatre-makers.
Hello from Spymonkey on lockdown! We are excited to be bringing you a series of workshops and online discussion groups to lift spirits, develop skills and help you to move forward with your current works-in-progress projects.
We will host a series of Wednesday Workshops and Friday Garage of Broken Stupid Ideas sessions, all of which are ‘pay what you can’ – we would hate for you to miss out because times are tough and hope to encourage those who might not access this support otherwise.
Please book your space through the Eventbrite links below. The booking page states the workshop is free however, after booking, you will be sent an email with a Zoom meeting ID and a link to make your ‘pay what you can’ contribution. All income made from these session will go directly towards our next Brassmonkey Bursary.

Bring your creative, silly ideas for a new project or show to our garage so we can help you take a good look under the bonnet. A chance for a consultation with Artistic Directors Toby Park and Aitor Basauri where we’ll use our experience to prod, poke and shake your idea, so that you can take it forward. Each idea will have a focused 30 minutes consultation time. Whilst ideas other than your own are being tinkered with in the garage, you can watch and learn from their process.
We are accepting a maximum of three ideas per garage session – your idea will be shared with us and two other companies/artists but an idea may be presented/represented by an individual or a group.
